Why critical research issues?

Scientific focus for research activities

 

One can identify several topics which will be important in the nearest future, concerning the materials for OTFTs and FOLAE systems and their characterisation and preparation, the devices fabrication and their integration into systems.

For the identification of the most important topics it is necessary however, to establish an internal technical observatory watch to monitor emerging new critical research issues and „bottlenecks” as a base of the task forces' work.

Seven main critical research issues

 

In the first months of the NoE FlexNet, an internal process of gathering information and prioritizing issues has been conducted. The outcome is a public document presenting the results.

Within the process of indentifying the critical research issues for the FlexNet Project, 20 pre selected factors had to be evaluated and ranked in order to gain an inside on what to focus the research collaborations.

In a survey, distributed to the partners and industry affiliates, scoreboards were created, showing 7 major issues that need special attention within the project:
